Toyota has completely redesigned the sixth-generation New Hiace to meet the needs of the widest group of customers yet, who are seeking a safe, well-engineered, efficient, comfortable and trusted workhorse. Not usually one to raise a pulse. But with the new Toyota Hiace, we think we might have cracked it. It's the smartest and safest Hiace yet. Redesigned top to bottom, this is the van of your dreams. Thanks to its Euro 5 four-cylinder 2.8-litre 1GD turbodiesel engine with Stop & Start function, the New Hiace offers improved fuel economy and on-road performance across the range.
The Hiace ZR van's highly efficient common-rail turbocharged engine and six-speed intelligent manual transmission delivers 130 kilowatts of power (up by 30kW), and 420 Newton meters of torque (up 120Nm).
Combined fuel economy for the New Hiace ZR is 7.5L/100km which is a 0.6L/100km improvement on the previous model.
Toyota Safety Sense is fitted as standard across the New Hiace range, and it features the Pre-Collision system with Autonomous Emergency Braking (PCS with AEB), as well as vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle detection functions. Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with brake control will help the driver maintain lane discipline, while Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB) allow you to focus on the road ahead.

Trailer sway control (TSC) is also fitted as standard to all New Hiace models; and provides you with higher levels of safety and confidence when taking to the road with a loaded trailer hitched to the vehicle.
The exterior of the Hiace ZR is longer, wider, and slightly lower than before, which means it now offers 6.2 cubic meters of cargo carrying capacity. The load floor length is 2745mm, load width is 1775mm and the load height is 1315mm.
